Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join our team and help steer our continued growth in the Baltimore market. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for classic rock music, a proven track record in sales management, embrace and understand our industry’s emerging technological platforms, and demonstrate the ability to lead a team towards achieving ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities: 

  1. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and collective sales goals. 
  2. Account Management: Oversee and manage account lists, ensuring effective client relationship management and retention strategies.
  3. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and maximize revenue generation.
  4. Meeting Coordination: Facilitate team meetings, set agendas, and ensure follow-up on action items to drive accountability and productivity. 
  5. Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales metrics to evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring satisfaction.
  7. Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, programming, and operations to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
  9. Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve targets.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred). 
  • Experience in sales management, preferably in the media or advertising industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems. 
  • Knowledge of the Baltimore market and local advertising landscape is a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Account Executive for The Bay WZBA you are responsible for developing and maintaining new clients/Advertisers. You will also keep and grow client relationships and offer solutions to help advertisers achieve the business goals.

Ideal skill sets include but are not limited to Honesty, Assertiveness, self-motivation, trustworthiness, creativity, negotiation, time management, outstanding customer service, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Prior sales experience is preferred but not necessary.

Account Executives must drive their own vehicle and have a valid driver’s license and proof of Insurance.

The Bay is looking for students to be a part of this exciting semester internship for school credit. You will assist The Bay Promotions Director with daily duties, including contests, promotions, event planning, copywriting, and other duties. You will also assist with appearances, live broadcasts, and on-site concerts.
