As I continue to expand my knowledge of the Craft Beer World a lot of people have had a lot of different recommendations on beers that I need to try. One of those recommendations came from Huber who pointed me in the direction of Heavy Seas TropiCannon Citrus IPA.
I’m not being hyperbolic when I say this immediately became my new favorite beer. I’ve mentioned before how I’m a sucker for the fruit forward, citrusy tasting type beers and TropiCannon is exactly that, cranked to eleven. The Heavy Seas mission statement has always been to make beers that are drinkable and approachable, and this one nails it. It has huge bold flavors like orange, and grapefruit, and it’s everything I’ve come to love in a beer. Yes it’s available year round, but it’s exactly the type of beer I’ll want to be enjoying poolside in a few months’ time.
Until then though you will absolutely find me in the Heavy Seas Taproom in Halethorpe some time very soon, enjoying TropiCannon and let’s be honest, most likely a few of the other different beers that Heavy Seas has to offer.
