Last week, I talked about my visit to Red Shedman Farm Brewery in Mt. Airy, and we heard from Master Brewer, Eric Cross about the beginnings of the Brewery, as well as how the fact that it shares property with Linganore Winery makes it such a unique spot with a ton to offer. Now, let’s talk more about the most important part…the beer! Of the beers I got to try, two really jumped out at me. The first being their Cosmic Punch Hazy IPA, which Eric described as being one of his babies.

The second, and possibly my favorite beer that I tried at Red Shedman was the Temper Tantrum Kryptonite Margarita Sour.

This beer has a powerful lime scent, and it tastes just like a salty margarita which I find fascinating. This beer screams summertime. And with it being a sour, and sours being a very “love it or hate it” type beer, it brings me back to a recurring theme which is to keep an open mind, always.

Great craft beer can certainly defy expectations and that’s just one of the many things that makes this craft beer journey such an exciting one. And I’d be remised if I didn’t mention that you can check out this beautiful brewery this weekend for their Valentine Beer and Dessert Pairing. For tickets and information on that really awesome event head to redshedman.com.
Cheers!
