CBoTB: Checkerspot Brewing’s 3rd Anniversary

It was almost three years ago, June 30, 2018, when Checkerspot Brewing opened its doors to thirsty craft beer lovers.  So now it’s time for a party!  Checkerspot Brewing has built a strong legion of fans through their great beer, a great team and a comfortable and cool space, at Sharp and Ostend Streets in Federal Hill.  I got together with owners Judy Neff, Rob Neff and Steve Marsh yesterday afternoon to talk about tomorrow’s 3rd Anniversary Party.  First up, Checkerspot’s Co-Owner Rob Neff.

The celebration starts at 12 noon and doesn’t stop until 10pm.  Tables and chairs will be set up outside the brewery and across the street under the 395 overpass, and of course inside Checkerspot’s taproom.  Judy Neff, Checkerspot’s Head Brewer and Co-Owner, fills us in on some special beer releases for tomorrow’s party.

And what would an anniversary party be like without cask beer and some food right of Checkerspot’s kitchen!  Checkerspot Co-Owner Steve Marsh is a master of cask beer and is passionate about their kitchen.

Checkerspot will also be serving a 5.1% ABV seltzer and a hard cider, plus root beer and watermelon lemonade for anyone who wants a non-alcoholic drink.  The Anniversary Party is free all day, with only one ticketed event: a two-hour comedy show from 8pm-10pm featuring seven comedians staged under the 395 overpass.

Checkerspot’s 3rd Anniversary Party, tomorrow from 12noon-10pm, at Sharp and Ostend Streets in Federal Hill!  It’s a day and night of music, comedy, food friends and craft beer!

Cheers!
