As you heard last week, Independent Brewing, located on Main Street in Bel Air, celebrated their second anniversary over this past weekend. These first two years at Independent has meant constant improvement, development and refinements in everything from the brewing system to the interior design. I asked Phil Rhudy, Independent Brewing’s founder, about some of the changes.

The canning line has meant great growth for Independent Brewing and with that, steadily increasing availability at bars, restaurants and liquor stores.

And, beginning today, Phil and his team will be canning the extremely popular Blue Eyed Blonde, Independent’s Belgian Blonde Ale, along with a seasonal release of the beer that Phil and I were drinking as we talked about their expansion: Fall Flannel, a rich, delicious Imperial Irish Red Ale.
